A Memoir of a Mother’s Love for a Trafficked Girl

By Krissi Green

about the book

On September 13, 2015, Krissi Green's peaceful life as a wife, mom, and music artist changed forever because of a single comment left on her husband's You Tube channel. Little did Krissi know then that the French teenage girl named Claire on the other end of that comment would expose her to the underbelly of the sex-trafficking world. Alone and desperate, Claire's life was on a collision course with disaster-her parents' marriage in shambles, her mother cheating on her dad, and her own mental state deteriorating by the day. But on that fateful day in 2015-some 5,000 miles away-Claire shot a rescue prayer into the world and God chose Krissi to answer it. What followed was a relationship forged in crisis, knit together by a fierce bond between a Utah mom and a 15-year-old French girl whose life was spiraling ever-downward into the dark underworld of forced prostitution, kidnapping, and abuse.

In Many More Like Me, Krissi Green tells the incredible true story of her relationship with a teenager she never met, united by a Savior neither could deny, and forged in a bond of love unbroken by the worst kinds of evil imaginable. Out of that place of darkness comes this gritty memoir of how the love of God- like a bright, narrow beam of light-pierces through even the most desperate and dark circumstances.

about the author

Krissi Green is a passionate writer based in Salt Lake City where she is drinking too much coffee while navigating the hustle of motherhood and nicking away time with her amazing husband. Together they founded Run Against Traffic, a nonprofit foundation focused on raising awareness and funds for the long-term aftercare of survivors of human trafficking Krissi is constantly inspired by the world around her. She weaves words together, infused with her own experience and observations, making her work both relatable and engaging

There is one common denominator that every person with a reputation of being Christ-like will have much experience with: Suffering.

Krissi Green, along with her husband, Tommy, have definitely had their share of suffering, and I have personally witnessed them push through much pain with great fortitude and perseverance to get to the other side.

In her new book, Many More Like Me, Krissi’s vulnerability and openness in sharing such intimate details of what she witnessed was incredibly painful for her, but she knew what God was calling to do. This captivating insight into the world of human trafficking is painful to read, but it’s also a beautiful story worth telling, and every person with a heart needs to be aware of what’s really going on out there in this dark underworld.
